GROUPS AND EVENTS

WE CARE ABOUT YOU AND YOUR MENTAL HEALTH

We care about helping our clients, our readers, and our community builds up their mental health. One way we do that is by offering groups and events that we believe will add value in life.

We offer groups and events to our community that we believe will add value to your life and help build up your mental health. We strive to make quality mental health care accessible to as many people as possible to create a difference in the world and advocate for mental health.

Our mission is to give back to the community in as many ways as we can. One of those ways is to empower our community to fuel their mental health while helping contribute to the world. This full circle of giving makes us all better together.

About Our GROUPS

GAINING A SENSE OF EMPOWERMENT, CONTROL, OR HOPE

Groups have been proven to help clients feel less lonely, isolated or judged as well as reducing distress, depression, anxiety or fatigue. Our self help groups provide a holistic approach to a better understanding of whole body health.

IMPROVING SKILLS TO COPE WITH CHALLENGES

Our DBT Skills groups both basic and advance offer clients an opportunity to learn skills to support them through their life and challenges. DBT allows you to embrace the middle areas. It teaches you skills to work through challenging thoughts and extreme emotions. This is especially useful for individuals who may experience extreme emotions and the inability to manage those emotions.

TALKING OPENLY AND HONESTLY ABOUT YOU EXPERIENCES

A support group provides an opportunity for people to share personal experiences and feelings, coping strategies, or firsthand information. Participating in a group provides you with an opportunity to be with people who are likely to have a common purpose and likely to understand one another.

BASIC DBT SKILLS GROUP

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a skills-based treatment modality to treat emotional dysregulation. Additionally, it helps us adapt to challenging behaviors that can impede our lives stemming from that emotional dysregulation. Ultimately, it increases our ability to find peace or stability during moments of crisis or heightened emotions. Marsha Linehan, Ph.D., created DBT to treat a wide range of mental health issues, including depression, posttraumatic stress disorder, borderline personality disorder.
