Jeffrey Boyd is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Masters of Social Work from the University of Illinois and a Master of Arts in Education from Olivet Nazarene University. He currently works full-time in the Champaign School District as a Social Worker, and part-time with us as he’s passionate about also providing therapeutic support to adults. Jeff specializes in working with couples and individual adults who are experiencing life stress, anxiety, depression, anger management, divorce, and self-esteem challenges.
As a therapist he creates an accepting, nonjudgmental space with his person-centered approach, where he will support you wherever you are in your journey. Jeff utilizes a variety of treatment approaches that include but are not limited to: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Solution Focused Brief Therapy. He also uses his life experiences, including being a father and husband, to help understand what you are experiencing.
Interesting fact#1: He ritualistically listens to Neo-Soul music while working out several times a week.
Interesting fact #2: He watches situational comedies from the 1970’s (All in the Family, The Courtship of Eddie’s Father & The Bob Newhart Show) in his down time.
