About the Group

We are so excited to present the community with an opportunity for those with a diagnosed chronic illness to gather together, share their stories and experiences, and work towards a healthier and happier life.

This group places emphasis on a holistic approach to lifestyle, with a heavy focus on education and exploration of one's personal wellness. Cultural competency is also valued and acknowledged, as each individual has their own story to tell. Although the diagnoses may differ person to person, the main goal and expected outcome of the group remains the same--
to make small, yet impacting steps towards the ultimate wellness journey.

Faciltator:
Sheerine Bazargani, LPC

As a therapist at Elliott Counseling Group, Sheerine Bazargani has a niche for supporting, guiding, and providing a non-judgemental space for individuals in need- whatever their need may be. She is an expert with addiction and/or ADHD, but also specializes with anxieties, mood disorders, personality disorders, depression, and more.

Sheerine Bazargani plays a dual role here as therapist and Wellness Coordinator. Her personal experience with holistic health dates back to her childhood years, with a family who valued holistic health and lifestyle at an early age. Through the years, Sheerine has gained personal insight and development on just how important living your best life- one with the mind/body connection at the forefront- truly is. She is also a certified yoga instructor, and often channels yogic posture and breathing into her sessions. You can read more about Sheerine's story by clicking here.

Shayla Parker, LCPC

Shayla Parker has been seeing clients with Elliott Counseling Group since 2012. She has genuine talent for this profession-- she is a natural at establishing connections with client built on trust, empathy, and mutual understanding. Shayla has a knack when it comes to treating anxiety disorders, seeing that individuals and their families are able to manage and reduce prevalent symptoms.

Shayla has personal experience with chronic illness and the impact it can have on all areas of life. Through fighting her own health battles, Shayla has turned to integrative medicine, which is a healing-oriented approach to medicine that takes account of the whole person, including all aspects of lifestyle. She values holistic approaches, which include whole-food nutrition and consumption, environmental wellness, mindfulness, and much, much more.
