Adult Skills Series DBT Group
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) is a psychotherapy model that is effective in treating a range of problems, including but not limited to
- Mood issues
- Overwhelming stress
- Eating disorders
- Substance abuse
In this group, you will learn skills that will allow you to regulate emotions, practice mindfulness for decision-making, and gain insight on interpersonal relations.
Research shows that DBT is effective in decreasing symptoms of the following: anger issues, anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, eating disorders, mood swings, OCD, PTSD, self-harm, and more.
Our groups will be held at our Clark Street location, at 309 W. Clark St in Champaign. The initial start date is Monday, January 7th from 5:30-7:00PM. The 12-week group will meet every following Monday thereafter, 5:30-7:00PM.

Sure, life is busy in 2018, but if you feel like chaos is your life, it's important that you determine if it is just a sign of the times-- or if you might have ADHD. People with ADHD are twice as likely to die prematurely; if left untreated, they die 15 years sooner than the general population. Because of the characteristics of ADHD symptoms, they are more likely to develop obesity, high cholesterol, and diabetes. They are more likely to get into car accidents, get divorce, and develop substance abuse disorders.
