Jamie Stevens is a Human Development Clinical Counseling student at the University of Illinois Springfield. Jamie is a proud member of the American Counseling Association. She is also a member of Chi Sigma Iota, an international Honors Society that acknowledges and supports excellence in Professional Counseling. Jamie has over 13 years of experience in the developmental disability field, including but not limited to:

- Fragile X Syndrome
- Cerebral Palsy
- Down Syndrom
- Bipolar Disorder
- Anxiety Disorders
- Major Depressive Disorder
Jamie provides Person-Centered Therapy. She believes that an empathetic approach both empowers and motivates the client in the therapeutic process. Jamie believes that given the right environment, each person has the capacity and desire for long-lasting personal growth and change.
Interesting Fact #1: Jamie has a busy, busy household, which is comprised of a husband, three boys, a chihuahua, pug, and a beagle.
