Yi-Chien "Itch" Hung is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign and is currently working on his doctorate in psychology. He has worked with a wide demographic ranging from children to adults in the context of in-patient residential settings, therapeutic day schools, as well as in out-patient settings. Yi-Chien has also had experience with career development coaching and consultation using personality assessments.
Yi-Chien believes strongly in the individual’s growth in self-awareness as an essential component of the therapeutic process. With this philosophy in mind, he utilizes a combination of personality assessments for self-awareness and a mixture of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Acceptance-Commitment therapy, and Dialectical Behavior therapy.
Interesting Fact #1: My hobbies include street style dancing, music production, basketball, cardistry, and drinking tea.
Interesting Fact #2: I go by the nickname of “Itch.” This name came about when friends from my childhood shortened my name because they could not pronounce it properly.
